Senior Forward Deployed Engineer

Axion builds an AI-powered quality-intelligence platform that helps industrial, aerospace, consumer and medtech manufacturers identify, investigate and resolve product quality issues.

Axion is building its first Forward Deployed Engineering team, and you'll be one of the first two engineers shaping the function: understand a customer's problem, decide what is worth building, and take the solution from an initial idea to a reliable deployment. This is a hands-on software engineering role. You'll write and review code, work through messy data, design integrations and applications, and own how your software behaves after release, while spending time with customers observing workflows and testing whether what you built solves the problem.

Reports to the Head of Strategic Accounts with a dotted line to Engineering. Based in New York or San Francisco with 25–50% travel.
