Senior Forward Deployed Engineer - Lead Software Engineer

As a Forward Deployed Engineer in Capgemini's Applied AI team you are the "Agent Engineer" for customers' most critical AI initiatives: taking conversational prototypes to production-ready, secure and scalable AI systems and leading technical delivery of conversational AI pilots at customer sites. High-travel role.

What you'll do

• Own the end-to-end engineering lifecycle from prototype to production for conversational AI and CX applications, including multi-agent systems and MCP servers.
• Build evaluation pipelines and observability frameworks to optimize agentic workloads (reasoning loops, tool selection, latency) with production-grade security and networking.
• Architect and code the integration between Google's conversational AI products and customers' live APIs, legacy data and security perimeters.
• Turn repeatable field patterns and friction points in Google's AAI stack into reusable modules or product feature requests.
• Co-build with customer engineering teams and instill strong development practices.

What you bring

• 10 years of software development in Python or similar languages.
• Experience architecting AI systems on cloud platforms such as GCP and deploying with Terraform or similar.
• Full-stack applications integrated with enterprise IT; multi-agent systems (ReAct, self-reflection); debugging agent logic across microservices; RAG optimization.
