Lead Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) - Senior Vice President

An experienced, hands-on Lead Forward Deployed Engineer in Chennai who evangelizes continuous integration, testing and safe, automated deployments, and coordinates the regionally deployed FDE team. A practical DevOps/SRE role, roughly 70% coding and configuration.

Key responsibilities

• Run targeted engagements with development teams struggling to reach a safe, rapid release cadence or resolve vulnerabilities.
• Wrap applications in well-designed test suites, including deployment smoke tests; source test data and implement data masking.
• Upgrade runtimes (Java/NPM), containerize applications, and keep libraries and dependencies current (e.g. with Renovate).
• Introduce best-practice source control, code review, security patterns, secrets management and observability.
• Automate deployments, including database changes with Liquibase and installed software with Ansible; implement resilient hot-hot cross-datacenter topologies.

Required

• Several years of Test-Driven Development across multiple test frameworks and strong automation-testing judgment.
• Proficiency in JVM languages.
