Senior Backend Engineer, Forward Deployed

Ellipsis Health builds conversational AI and voice-biomarker products that tackle healthcare staffing and administrative burden. As a Senior Backend Engineer on the Forward Deployed team you'll design, build and scale the core systems powering the conversational AI platform across backend services, APIs and orchestration layers (TypeScript/Node.js). Open to remote candidates in the US.

What you'll do:

• Build scalable APIs and microservices supporting conversational AI workflows.
• Design orchestration services coordinating AI systems, APIs and external integrations.
• Integrate securely with healthcare systems (EHRs, scheduling) under HIPAA/FHIR.
• Deploy and manage conversational AI and NLP workflows in production with the AI team.
