Forward Deployed Robotics Engineer

Gecko's robots climb boiler walls, storage tanks and ship hulls to collect ultrasonic data. The Forward Deployed Robotics Engineer builds the field software operators use on site to drive the robots and capture data, currently extending it to a new underwater ship-hull inspection system: integrating and hardening vendor and research deliverables so they work reliably in difficult field conditions.

What you'll do:

• Build software that works in the field when networks drop and sensors disconnect.
• Own the seams between services and robots, built in-house and by partners.
• Take prototypes and partner code across the finish line into something operators depend on.
• Make inspection data understandable to operators, including in 3D.
