Forward Deployed Engineer (Implementation Engineering)

Harness, the AI software delivery platform company, is hiring Forward Deployed Engineers who embed inside enterprise engineering teams to build AI-native automation on the Harness platform. It is a hands-on, code-first role: you write production code and scripts, build pipelines, and connect Harness AI Agents to a customer's repositories, ITSM tooling, security systems and infrastructure, staying until the capability is live in production.

Success means a working production agent integration in the customer's environment, a reusable pattern captured for the wider delivery team, and customer engineers able to run and extend it without an ongoing FDE presence.

You bring: a platform or software engineering background with real coding and integration skills; experience with APIs, event-driven systems or LLM/agent orchestration; prior forward-deployed, solutions engineering or embedded consulting work; strong CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code grounding plus depth in security, observability or cost management; and comfort working from a business objective without a written spec.

Remote with frequent travel (up to 50%) to customer sites. Pay transparency range: $170,000–$200,000 USD.
