Forward Deployed Engineer

HealthLeap builds AI that helps hospital care teams find patients who need attention first. It is live at 40+ hospitals, plans to add another 100, and raised $38M in seed and Series A funding.

As a Forward Deployed Engineer you work directly with hospital IT and clinical teams: own hospital integrations from technical discovery to reliable production data, build and debug connections to record systems (auth, APIs, data mapping, monitoring), build customer tools or analytics where the standard product falls short, and turn repeated requests into reusable connectors and product features. Stack: Python and TypeScript.

Looking for 5+ years building and operating production software with strong backend, API, data modeling and SQL skills, and experience taking a complex third-party integration live. EHR/HL7/FHIR experience is a plus. Interview: intro call, system design, take-home, onsite in SF; no LeetCode, AI tools allowed. Hybrid in SF (3–5 days in person), relocation covered.
