In IBM Consulting, a Forward Deployed Engineer – AI works directly with clients to turn complex business challenges into production-ready AI solutions, combining software engineering, data science, GenAI, agentic AI and advanced analytics to rapidly prototype, deploy and scale solutions. Hybrid; the job can be performed from anywhere in the US. 5+ years of AI/ML, data science or software engineering experience.
What you'll do:
- Partner with business and technical teams to define AI use cases and success metrics.
- Build end-to-end GenAI, RAG and agentic AI applications (LangGraph, CrewAI, AWS Bedrock, Azure AI Foundry, Vertex AI).
- Design LLM-powered agents with tool use, orchestration, prompt/context engineering, evals, guardrails and observability.
- Integrate AI solutions with enterprise systems, APIs and data platforms.
- Apply MLOps/LLMOps, testing, monitoring and responsible-AI practices to keep solutions production-ready.
