Insight, a Fortune 500 solutions integrator, is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer Principal to embed with client teams and deliver high-impact AI and data solutions end to end, from discovery and design through build, deployment, enablement and handover. The role reports to an AI Apps & Data Practice Lead based in Brisbane.
What you'll do:
- Run discovery workshops with client stakeholders, translate business problems into solution architecture and frame scope to fit a fixed-price envelope.
- Architect and deliver production-grade solutions across the full stack: data pipelines, APIs, UIs, agentic workflows and ML/LLM components.
- Pair with client engineers and analysts to build capability and create documentation that outlives the engagement.
- Capture patterns into Insight's accelerator library and mentor newer FDEs.
What they're looking for: full-lifecycle delivery experience in consulting, professional services or embedded engineering; Python, .NET/C# or TypeScript, SQL, cloud (Azure preferred) and data engineering; LLM/agent application development (RAG, tool use, evaluation, guardrails); fluency with AI coding agents such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor and Claude Code.
