Senior Forward Deployment Engineer

Luxoft is hiring Forward Deployed Engineers in Jersey City for a project improving the security, release reliability, maintainability and operational resilience of business-critical banking applications. FDEs run targeted, hands-on engagements with development teams struggling with vulnerability remediation, automated testing, legacy technology, production stability or release cadence. About 70% of the work is hands-on coding and configuration.

What you'll do:

• Work directly with development teams to review code, dependencies, tests, runtime configuration, deployments and pipelines, and fix issues hands-on (Senior level, req VR-124615).
• Build automated unit, integration, component and smoke test suites using TDD.
• Triage and remediate security vulnerabilities, including dependency and reachability analysis.
• Upgrade Java/JVM, NPM, Spring and libraries; modernize legacy middleware (WebSphere, WebLogic).
• Improve CI/CD pipelines, containerize applications with Docker for OpenShift, and add observability and resilience patterns.

The role blends senior software engineering, DevOps, SRE, test automation, application security and legacy modernization.
