Mercado Eletrônico (ME) is hiring a Junior Forward Deployed Engineer in Denver (hybrid, 1–2 days/week on-site) to design, build, and evolve AI-powered prototypes, agents, and features with a product POD.

Responsibilities

  • Build prototypes, agents, and AI-powered features using Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex.
  • Turn user journeys and business rules into prompts, agent flows, and working React applications.
  • Integrate and compare language models through OpenRouter; test and iterate on agent behavior.
  • Model and query data in Postgres/Supabase; deploy on Vercel with GitLab version control.
  • Support POD developers with API/service integrations in Golang; document prompts, decisions, flows, and lessons.
  • Take part in discovery sessions with users and Product Builders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Design, or related field.
  • Hands-on experience building with AI (agent, app, or automation) and AI-assisted tools (Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex).
  • Basic programming logic, Git, curiosity/autonomy; good communication.
  • Fluency in Portuguese or Spanish required.

Nice to have: React, JavaScript/TypeScript, Golang, SQL/Postgres/Supabase, Vercel, LLM APIs, prompt engineering.

Compensation: $50,000–$55,000/yr; medical, vision, dental; PTO and 6 company holidays. Full-time.
