The AI Transformation team within Microsoft Frontier Company reimagines how the company operates in the age of AI. As a Principal Engineer you'll bring strong software design and engineering expertise to build AI-powered applications, agents, integrations and workflows, moving rapidly from prototype to production in small multidisciplinary teams. 3 days/week in office.
What you'll do:
- Design, build, test, deploy and operate production-grade AI-powered applications, agents, services and workflows.
- Rapidly move from requirements to working solutions, iterating on real-world feedback.
- Use AI-assisted and agentic coding tools throughout the development lifecycle.
- Apply strong engineering practice: code review, automated testing, CI/CD, observability.
- Own system architecture and design for complex, ambiguous solutions.
