Managing Director, Forward Deployed Engineering - REMOTE

NTT DATA is building a new Forward Deployed Engineering capability to accelerate AI Service-as-Software and is hiring an executive Head of Forward Deployed Engineering to build and lead the function globally. NTT DATA says this is an executive technical leadership role, not a traditional delivery, solution architecture or pre-sales role.

What you'll do:

• Build and lead an FDE team of up to 20 engineers and define its operating model, delivery standards and handoffs.
• Deploy FDE teams into priority client opportunities to shape prototypes, MVPs, pilots and production deployments.
• Work with product and product engineering to turn validated field solutions into scalable, enterprise-ready capabilities.
• Establish reusable deployment patterns, reference architectures and playbooks, and track field impact.

Requirements: 15+ years in engineering, field engineering, solution architecture, enterprise platforms, AI/data products or technical delivery leadership; experience leading technical teams at scale; strong fluency in AI, GenAI, agentic workflows, data platforms, cloud, APIs and integrations.
