Founding Forward Deployed Engineer (USA)

Optexity is a product-driven research lab building clinical reasoning and computer-use models, deployed directly inside clinics and hospitals. It is backed by Jeff Dean, Neotribe VC, Pear VC, Together Fund and Zapier Fund.

As a Founding Forward Deployed Engineer you will be deployed inside practices, clinics and hospitals in New York, learn how doctors and staff work, and build the integrations and features that make Optexity work there. Many of these systems have no APIs.

What you'll do:

• Deploy Optexity in clinics, including systems with no APIs, using Optexity's open-source integration infrastructure.
• Build data pipelines and integrations with EMRs and other clinical systems.
• Work on the search and chat system with the core team, and debug customer issues until they are fixed.
• Turn one-off customer problems into general solutions.

Ideal candidate: CS degree; strong Python and backend, data and API skills; comfortable working with non-technical customers. New grads are welcome. SF preferred; remote considered.
