Forward Deployed Engineer

Quanta Services builds energy and communications infrastructure through hundreds of operating companies. Its Forward Deployed Engineers are hands-on technical consultants who design, prototype and deploy AI, application and automation solutions built around Quanta's enterprise Databricks Lakehouse, across energy infrastructure, operations, finance, safety and logistics.

What you'll do

• Work directly with internal stakeholders and operating units to understand technical needs and business priorities.
• Turn requirements into working prototypes and full-featured solutions, from domain-specific chatbots to internal tooling and backend process automation.
• Build integrations, applications and scripts across cloud services, APIs and enterprise systems, using AI-assisted tools throughout.
• Deploy to production, provide post-deployment support and document reusable components.

What you bring

• BS/MS in CS, engineering, information systems or related field; 5–10 years in software development, systems integration or technical consulting.
• 2+ years hands-on with Databricks in an enterprise setting.
• Proficiency in a modern language (Python, JavaScript, Java, Go) and familiarity with AWS, Azure or GCP, CI/CD, containers and APIs.
• Experience using AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT or Claude in development workflows.
