Manager, Forward Deployed Engineering

As a Manager of Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) at Rippling, you will lead a team of engineers responsible for delivering high-impact, customized solutions for customers, operating at the intersection of engineering, customer success, and product.

What you'll do:

• Lead and develop a high-performing team of FDEs: mentorship, coaching, performance management and career development
• Own execution across customer engagements, overseeing custom integrations, workflows, applications, and analytics using Rippling products and languages like Python, JavaScript, Ruby, Java, Go, C or C++
• Drive operational excellence: team processes, resourcing, prioritization and delivery across concurrent engagements
• Partner with Account Management, Product, Engineering, and CX teams; engage directly with customers on critical accounts
• Contribute to hiring and onboarding new FDEs

Requirements include 5+ years of software development experience and 1–3+ years leading or mentoring engineers.
