Accenture Federal and Google Public Sector deploy Gemini launchpads staffed by Forward Deployed Engineers

On October 19, Accenture Federal Services and Google Public Sector launched Gemini launchpads that embed FDEs with U.S. federal agencies to move agentic AI from pilots into production, drawing on Accenture's planned 1,000-person Gemini Enterprise FDE workforce.

Accenture Federal Services and Google Public Sector announced on October 19 that they are deploying Gemini launchpads—centralized hubs meant to help U.S. federal agencies move from agentic experimentation to mission-scale production on Gemini.

The launchpads put a hub of Forward Deployed Engineers alongside agency teams to build high-code agents that connect to systems of record, manage secure data links, prioritize use cases, and track mission impact. Accenture Federal CEO Ron Ash said embedding FDEs with agency teams is how they define and rapidly solve critical challenges with agents. Google Public Sector CEO Karen Dahut framed success as mission outcomes, not technology adoption alone.

Accenture Federal is training an initial cohort of Google Cloud-skilled FDEs as part of the firm's broader commitment—announced earlier with Google Cloud—to build a 1,000-person FDE workforce inside the Accenture Gemini Enterprise Business Group. The partners are also preparing pre-built agents for common functions such as HR, finance and supply chain, and are running hands-on workshops at The Forge in Washington, D.C.

For FDE candidates, this is the federal follow-through on the commercial Accenture–Google FDE bet: regulated, high-security embeds, Gemini and agent platforms as daily tools, and demand for engineers who can ship with domain SMEs inside agency environments.
