AlgoX2 raises a $10M seed extension and will hire forward-deployed engineers to take streaming integrations to production
New York data streaming startup AlgoX2 raised a $10 million seed extension led by Bessemer Venture Partners and Fin Capital, and says it will hire forward-deployed engineers to move customer integrations into production.
AlgoX2, a New York company building a single engine for data streaming, processing and storage, announced on 30 September 2026 that it has raised a $10 million seed extension. Bessemer Venture Partners and Fin Capital led the round, with Alumni Ventures and Somersault Ventures joining existing investors Octave, Motivate VC and AAL VC.
The company says its engine has been tested in production with design partners and supports protocols such as Kafka, Redis, NATS and MQTT. The new money will go toward hiring forward-deployed engineers to take customer integrations to production, and toward growing a product team, led by former Confluent Cloud group product manager Addison Higham, to launch AlgoX2 Cloud and an open-source version.
For FDEs, this is a sign that the role is spreading beyond AI labs and agent startups into core data infrastructure. Here the forward-deployed work looks like migrating customers off existing streaming stacks, installing on-prem and in Kubernetes, and tuning live systems, so engineers with distributed-systems and messaging experience are the natural fit.
