Applied Intuition’s Nov 7 FDE board: six on-site seats in five cities, founding Munich EMEA team, Sunnyvale FDSE $130K–$200K

A 7 November FDE Dispatch read of Applied Intuition’s Ashby board found six Forward Deployed engineer seats—all still open and none remote—in Sunnyvale, London, Munich, Tokyo and Seoul, including a founding EMEA team in Munich (6+ years, 25–40% travel to automotive OEMs) and three New Grad (2027) seats; Sunnyvale FDSE posts US base pay of $130,000–$200,000 and Sunnyvale New Grad $130,000–$158,000.

FDE Dispatch’s 7 November live check of Applied Intuition’s public Ashby board, built on its 3 November snapshot of 704 FDE-family postings across 114 employers, counted six engineer-family seats, tied for 19th of 114 employers with Anthropic, C3 AI, Clay, DevRev and Invisible Technologies. The seats are Forward Deployed Software Engineer in Sunnyvale; Forward Deployed Engineer in London; Forward Deployed Engineer (EMEA) in Munich; and Forward Deployed Engineer - New Grad (2027) in Sunnyvale, Tokyo and Seoul.

On the live check, all six were still open among 322 jobs on the Applied board, with no closures. Two US seats post numeric base ranges that were still shown live: Sunnyvale FDSE at $130,000–$200,000, and Sunnyvale New Grad at $130,000–$158,000 with Offers Equity. London recorded £100,000–£160,000 in the 3 November snapshot, but the live listing on 7 November showed no pay range. Munich, Tokyo and Seoul post no pay. Sunnyvale FDSE mentions equity as options and/or restricted stock units without grant sizes. Posted ranges are not offers.

Years and stack split by customer vertical. Sunnyvale FDSE asks for 3–6 years of software engineering and proficiency in languages such as C++ and Python, plus operating system configuration, system deployment, and hardware integration on Vehicle OS and autonomy stacks. London names the same C++/Python stack for defence and government customers, from defence contractors to forward operating bases, and asks for the ability to hold UK Security Clearance (current or previous preferred), with no years figure stated. Munich is framed as Applied Intuition building a new Forward Deployed Engineering team in Munich—the first of its kind in its EMEA organization—aimed at tier-1 automotive OEMs; it asks for 6+ years of shipping production code, full-stack skills across backend, API and frontend, and 25–40% travel across Germany and EMEA, and states that this is not a support or customer success role. The three New Grad (2027) seats ask for a BS/MS completed or in progress and about 1–2 years of experience in any field (or equivalent), plus C++ or Python; snapshot-wide, 22 of 704 in-page titles contained “New Grad,” and Applied Intuition’s 3 seats put it second behind Palantir’s 17. None of the six are remote under FDE Dispatch’s locations-index method (0 of 6, against 176 of 704, or 25.0%, snapshot-wide); every text says full-time employees primarily work from their Applied Intuition office 5 days a week, with some schedule flexibility.

For FDEs, this is a vehicle-autonomy and defence deployment board that still posts new-grad doors—rare outside Palantir—while the Munich founding seat is a senior, customer-facing build role for automotive OEMs rather than a support rotation. Pay transparency is uneven: only the two Sunnyvale ranges were live on 7 November, and none of the six rows are remote.
