Cohere’s Nov 7 FDE board: 13 titles split Agentic Platform vs Infrastructure, US base $140K–$325K

A 7 November AI Native read of Cohere’s Ashby board found 13 Forward Deployed titles—mostly inside Delivery Engineering—split between Agentic Platform (agents into workflows) and Infrastructure Specialist (North onto private cloud/on-prem), with US CA/NY/WA Agentic Platform base listed at $140K–$325K and 20–40% customer travel on most IC seats.

On 7 November 2026, AI Native read all 13 Cohere postings whose titles include Forward Deployed or FDE on the company’s Ashby board (124 jobs total that day). Twelve sit under Engineering & Infra’s Delivery Engineering team; Sovereign AI is the odd one out. The IC seats split cleanly into Agentic Platform (design and ship production agents with evals) and Infrastructure Specialist (plan, configure and roll out North into private cloud and on-prem), plus Sovereign AI (Ottawa), Inference (Staff), and two Engineering Manager roles.

Most IC postings list 20–40% travel to customer or partner sites. US Agentic Platform base pay for California, New York and Washington is posted at $140K–$325K with equity offered; Canada bands reach CA$175K–CA$385K, and Korea lists ₩230M–₩315M. Public-sector seats in Ottawa and the UK ask for (or strongly prefer) active clearances. There was no Tokyo FDE posting that day—only Korea among Asia FDE seats—while Palantir and OpenAI both listed Tokyo FDE roles on the same snapshot.

For FDEs and hiring managers, the board is a clear primary signal that Cohere is hiring the role as two specialties—build the agent versus land the platform—rather than one generic customer-facing engineer title.
