Cursor’s Nov 5 FDE board: 11 seats in pods of strategists and FDEs, Grok workflows after SpaceX
A 5 November FDE Dispatch read of Cursor’s Ashby board found 11 Forward Deployed–family seats—five engineers, three strategists and three regional directors—with six marked remote, no posted pay, and engineer texts that call the work “not a demo role” after Cursor’s August 2026 SpaceX combination.
FDE Dispatch’s 5 November guide, from a 3 November snapshot and a same-day live Ashby check, puts Cursor at 11 in-page FDE-family postings—tied for 10th of 114 employers with Scale AI. The board splits into Forward Deployed Engineer (San Francisco, Australia, London/EMEA, India, Japan), Forward Deployed Strategist (Remote, London, Singapore) and Regional Director, Forward Deployed Engineering (San Francisco, Singapore, Public Sector in Washington, D.C.).
All 11 sit in Solutions under a Forward Deployment team. Four of five engineer texts ask for 5+ years in software, ML or data science, name Python and TypeScript/JavaScript, and say you’ve built and owned AI-native workflows or agents in production—not prototypes. Strategist seats ask for 6+ years owning scoping and delivery beside 1–2 FDEs; Regional Directors describe teams of six to eight engineers and six- and seven-figure engagements. None of the 11 list pay or a travel percentage.
Posting texts open with a SpaceX company description after Cursor’s 14 August 2026 combination. Several engineer seats name shipping production agents and coding-agent workflows on Grok and Cursor’s models inside the customer’s engineering org. The Public Sector Regional Director prefers U.S. citizenship and an active clearance or the ability to obtain one. All 11 snapshot seats were still listed on 5 November.
For FDEs, Cursor’s board is a clear pod model—strategist owns the executive relationship, FDE owns the production build—with an explicit bar against demo-only work and a Grok-era stack after the SpaceX deal.
