e2e (formerly TesterArmy) raises $8M seed and plans to grow its forward-deployed engineering practice
The Warsaw and San Francisco testing startup rebranded from TesterArmy to e2e on Nov 3 and raised an $8M seed round; alongside engineering hires and test infrastructure, it plans to expand its forward-deployed engineering work for enterprise customers.
e2e, the YC-backed startup previously called TesterArmy, announced an $8 million (about €7 million) seed round on November 3, 2026, backed by Credo Ventures, KAYA, Point Nine, Baobab Ventures and Script Capital, plus angels including Snowflake co-founder Marcin Żukowski and Uber co-founder Oscar Salazar. The company builds an open-source TypeScript framework for end-to-end testing of web, iOS and Android apps that mixes deterministic assertions with AI-agent-driven steps.
According to The Recursive, the money will go to expanding the engineering team, growing the open-source community, building infrastructure for running tests at scale (a hosted e2e cloud is planned for 2027), and expanding the company's forward-deployed engineering practice. The framework stays free, so revenue is expected to come from infrastructure, enterprise deployments and related services such as test migration and CI setup. Hiring is concentrated in Warsaw and San Francisco.
Why it matters for FDEs: this is another open-source dev-tools company that is leaning on embedded engineers for revenue before its hosted product exists. FDEs there would be helping enterprise teams move their test suites onto the framework and fit it into their own CI and infrastructure, which is a hands-on, customer-facing role in the growing agentic-coding tooling space.
