HCLTech signs a Global Premier Partnership with Anthropic and will deploy Claude to enterprises through FDEs
HCLTech will set up a dedicated Anthropic Business Unit and Center of Excellence that builds agentic AI solutions and provides secure sandbox environments for enterprise Claude deployments through forward deployed engineers.
On 12 October 2026, HCLTech announced a Global Premier Partnership with Anthropic. Its services teams will build industry solutions on Claude, Cowork and Claude Code, and HCLSoftware becomes an Anthropic ISV partner that will embed Claude into select products such as HCL BigFix and HCL AppScan.
The FDE angle: HCLTech says it will establish a dedicated Anthropic Business Unit with a Center of Excellence to build agentic AI solutions and provide secure sandbox environments for enterprise deployments of Claude through FDEs. It will also help clients adopt AI-native engineering practices and train their workforces to run agentic AI safely at scale.
HCLTech has more than 223,000 people across 60 countries and manages systems for banks, hospitals, telecoms and manufacturers. When a systems integrator of that size organizes a model partnership around forward deployed delivery, it suggests FDE work will spread well beyond the AI labs into large services firms, with a focus on governance, guardrails and human oversight in regulated environments.
