OneByZero raises $20M Series A to grow its forward deployed engineering teams across Asia Pacific
Singapore-based AI deployment company OneByZero raised a $20 million Series A led by Jungle Ventures, its first outside funding, and says the money will expand its forward-deployed engineering teams across nine markets and open a team in Japan.
OneByZero, a Singapore-headquartered company that describes itself as a frontier AI deployment company, announced on 5 October 2026 that it has raised a US$20 million Series A led by Jungle Ventures. It is the company's first external funding after about three years of operating.
Its model is built around forward-deployed engineers who work alongside customer teams to find where AI can add value, build and deploy the system, and then stay involved to run and improve it. Those engineers pair with its NEO platform, which runs governed AI agents (which it calls AI Coworkers) inside large, often regulated enterprises such as banks and telecom operators. The company builds on Amazon Web Services.
OneByZero says the round will grow its forward-deployed engineering teams and customer relationships across the nine markets it already operates in (Australia, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, the US and Vietnam), open a local team in Japan, and push into healthcare, conglomerates and the public sector.
For FDEs, this is another sign that the role is spreading well beyond US AI labs. Asia Pacific deployment firms are now raising money specifically to hire engineers who embed with customers, and the Japan expansion points to new local FDE openings in that market.
