Osavul plans up to 50 hires in 2027 after €8.5M Series A, including hard-to-fill forward deployed engineers
Osavul, a Luxembourg-headquartered company with Ukrainian roots that uses AI to detect information and hybrid threats, is scaling hiring after an €8.5M Series A and says forward deployed engineers who understand hybrid threats are among its hardest roles to fill.
Osavul, which builds an AI platform for detecting information, cyber and physical threats and says it is used by NATO and by government and defense organizations in more than 10 countries, told DOU it plans to hire up to 50 people in 2027. The company raised an €8.5 million Series A in October, bringing total funding to about €12 million, and has already added 18 people in the second half of 2026 to a team that previously numbered about 40.
Alongside data and AI engineers with data-fusion, geospatial and knowledge-graph experience, Osavul is recruiting a Forward Deployed Engineer: someone who understands information and hybrid threats and can apply AI to detect and analyze them for customers. The company says engineers with that mix of domain knowledge and technical skill are scarce. The team works fully remotely, and the company is expanding into Germany and Scandinavia with government and defense customers.
For FDEs, this is another sign that the role is spreading into defense and security tech beyond Palantir-style platforms, and that domain expertise, here in disinformation and hybrid warfare, is becoming as valuable as coding ability for customer-facing deployment work.
