PhaseV launches BonV, pairing an agentic clinical-trial workspace with forward deployed engineers

Clinical development AI company PhaseV launched BonV on Nov 4, an agentic layer that turns plain-language trial questions into documented decisions, with PhaseV FDEs handling integration inside each pharma sponsor's environment.

PhaseV, which applies AI and causal machine learning to clinical development, announced BonV on November 4. It is an agentic product layer on top of the PhaseV platform: a trial team asks a development question in plain language, and BonV plans the analysis, calls PhaseV modules such as its causal modeling, ClinOps Optimizer and Trial Optimizer, and returns a recommendation with a trial synopsis and a decision memo.

The launch leans on people as much as software. CEO Raviv Pryluk said PhaseV's scientists and Forward Deployed Engineers work alongside each sponsor's team, and the company says initial engagements include integrating BonV with each sponsor's applications and data, supported by PhaseV FDEs working with sponsor IT. BonV is already in use at select pharmaceutical companies, with a phased rollout under way.

Why it matters for FDEs: regulated, data-heavy industries like biopharma are adopting agentic products through embedded engineers rather than self-serve installs. It is another sign that domain-specific AI vendors, not just the big labs, are building FDE teams to connect their platforms to customers' private clouds, data warehouses and enterprise systems.
