Polygrade emerges from stealth with $6.3M and will grow its forward deployed engineering team
The Toronto-based AI claims platform for the warranty industry says its new funding goes first to expanding Forward Deployed Engineering, alongside go-to-market and partner enablement.
Polygrade, an AI-native claims management platform for the warranty industry, came out of stealth on October 6 with $6.3 million in funding from Construct Capital, American Family Ventures and Nine Four Ventures. The company was founded in 2025 by veterans of Sears Home Services, Thumbtack and Setter, and has offices in Toronto, St. George, Utah and Austin, Texas.
Instead of software that only records and routes claims, Polygrade uses specialized AI agents to do the claims work itself, from triage and authorization to parts sourcing and contractor payment. It is starting with home warranty and plans to move into extended warranty, OEM warranty and equipment breakdown insurance.
The company says the money will expand its Forward Deployed Engineering, go-to-market and partner enablement teams. For FDEs, it's another sign that vertical AI agent startups are hiring deployment engineers early: putting agents into messy claims operations and connecting them to suppliers and contractors is hands-on integration work, and FDE is the first function named in the plan.
