RapidCanvas raises $29M Series B to grow its field AI engineering team across India, the US and Brazil

Managed AI execution company RapidCanvas raised a $29 million Series B led by Vertex Ventures SEA & India on October 16, and plans to expand its field AI engineering team—engineers who build custom AI apps for each customer and stay accountable for the outcomes—along with its go-to-market teams.

RapidCanvas, which calls itself a managed AI execution company, announced a $29 million Series B on October 16, Mint reported. Vertex Ventures SEA & India led the round, Hitachi Ventures joined as a new investor, and existing backers Accel, Peak XV Partners, Valley Capital Partners and Titanium Ventures also took part, bringing total funding to $52.5 million.

The company pairs its AI platform with field AI engineers who learn each customer's business processes, design and build custom AI applications, and remain accountable for those applications' results after delivery. Besides expanding its go-to-market teams and network of private equity and advisory partners, RapidCanvas plans to grow that field AI engineering team across India, the US and Brazil. Lead investor Piyush Kharbanda of Vertex described the model as an AI platform that compounds with every deployment, plus forward-deployed engineers who own the outcome end to end.

RapidCanvas targets companies with $100 million to $10 billion in annual revenue rather than the Fortune 100. CEO Rahul Pangam said vibe coding has made it easy to start building with AI, while getting AI into production reliably and safely remains the biggest gap. Mint framed the deal as part of a wider investor bet on AI-led challengers to traditional IT services firms.

For FDEs, this is one more funded company built around outcome-owning deployment engineers, with hiring planned in India, the US and Brazil, and aimed at mid-market enterprises rather than the largest accounts.
