Supply chain AI startup Enmovil plans to quadruple its forward deployed engineering team
Enmovil, an Indian agentic AI company for supply chain and logistics, told AIM it plans to grow its FDE team from about 30 people to 100–120 within a year as it scales enterprise deployments and expands into the US and Southeast Asia.
Enmovil, which builds an agentic AI platform for supply chain planning and logistics execution, plans to expand its forward deployed engineering team from around 30 people to 100–120 within a year, according to an Analytics India Magazine report published on November 3. The company has about 175 employees, roughly 100 of them in development, and has raised around $8 million, including a $6 million Series A about a year ago.
CEO and co-founder Ravi Prasad Bulusu said enterprise solutions don't follow a one-size-fits-all model, so teams need to work closely with customers and understand their operations. Enmovil's platform sits as an intelligence layer over systems such as SAP, Oracle and Blue Yonder, and its FDEs are expected to bridge the gap between the platform and each customer's workflows, data and approval processes. Its customers include Maruti, Mahindra, TVS Motor, Volvo, Daimler, Nestlé and ITC.
Why it matters for FDEs: the FDE team is set to grow much faster than the rest of the company as Enmovil expands beyond its 40-plus Indian customers into the US and Southeast Asia. It's another sign that vertical AI startups, not just AI labs and cloud giants, are making customer-embedded engineers a core part of how they sell and deploy, here with a focus on ERP, warehouse and transport system integration.
