Vanguard, Sedgwick and Uare.ai among 5 companies that posted their first Forward Deployed Engineer roles between 20 and 23 October

Nextmove's twice-weekly tracker found five employers opening forward deployed roles for the first time in that window: Perseus Group, Sedgwick Claims Management Services, The Andersons, Uare.ai and Vanguard.

Job-market tracker Nextmove's latest check, dated 23 October 2026, lists five companies that posted a forward deployed title for the first time between Tuesday 20 and Friday 23 October: Perseus Group (Forward Deployed Engineer, remote USA), Sedgwick Claims Management Services (Principal Forward Deployed Engineer, remote from Florida, plus two more postings), The Andersons (Forward Deployed AI Engineer, Maumee, Ohio), Uare.ai (Forward Deployed Engineer for U.S. Government / IL5 work, San Francisco or Los Altos) and Vanguard (Lead Forward Deployed Engineer, Melbourne, Australia).

Nextmove only counts employers whose job boards it had already been reading for at least 30 days, so the list reflects new hiring decisions rather than newly tracked companies. By its count, between 9 and 17 companies started hiring FDEs in each of the last eight full weeks, with a median of 12.

Why it matters for FDEs: the role keeps spreading well beyond AI labs and software vendors. This batch includes an asset manager, a claims-management firm and an agribusiness, plus a startup doing cleared government work, which points to more FDE openings inside traditional enterprises that want in-house engineers to get AI into production. Nextmove notes that one posting is one opening, not proof of a full team.
