Wonderful will invest PLN 200M in Poland and grow its Warsaw team past 200, hiring forward deployed engineers

Agentic AI company Wonderful, valued at $5 billion after its $550M Series C, says it will spend more than PLN 200 million in Poland in 2027-2029, growing its Warsaw team from about 20 people to roughly 100 in 2027 and over 200 by 2029, with Forward Deployed Engineering among the roles it is already recruiting.

Wonderful, the enterprise agentic AI company that closed a $550 million Series C at a $5 billion valuation in September, announced on November 4 that it will invest more than PLN 200 million in Poland between 2027 and 2029. The Warsaw office, open since May, has about 20 people today; the company plans to reach roughly 100 in 2027 and more than 200 in 2028-2029.

Most of the budget goes to hiring. Wonderful says it is already recruiting in Warsaw for go-to-market roles and AI systems engineering, which it describes as Forward Deployed Engineering. The rest covers adapting its agents to Polish (including local models such as PLLuM and Bielik), infrastructure for in-country deployments with data kept in Poland, a new office and a young-talent program. Target customers are large firms in finance, telecoms, energy and retail.

Why it matters for FDEs: Wonderful is one of the most FDE-heavy employers in enterprise AI, and this is a concrete, multi-year commitment to build a large deployment team in Central Europe rather than only in London or San Francisco. The company notes that components built in Warsaw already run in production for customers in Amsterdam, Paris and Rome, so Polish FDE hires are likely to work on pan-European deployments.
