causaLens, Trase Systems and Wordsmith among 6 companies that posted their first FDE roles Nov 3–6
Nextmove’s Friday check found six employers whose boards showed a forward-deployed title for the first time between 3 and 6 November 2026, including a Toronto FDE intern at Element Fleet and a $150k–$240k Trase Systems role.
Nextmove’s twice-weekly new-employer list, published 6 November 2026, names six companies that posted a Forward Deployed Engineer (or Deployed Engineer) title for the first time between Tuesday 3 November and Friday 6 November: causaLens, Element Fleet Management, Generalist AI, Pathward, Trase Systems and Wordsmith. Two of the six openings are senior or lead; all six name a location.
On the list: causaLens wants a remote Lead Forward-Deployed AI Engineer for US pharma and life-sciences delivery; Element Fleet Management posted an 8–12 month FDE intern in Toronto on 6 November; Generalist AI listed a Boston (Somerville) FDE at $150,000–$200,000; Pathward a remote senior “AI Forward Deployed Engineer”; Trase Systems an FDE for Seattle, McLean or US remote at $150,000–$240,000; and Wordsmith a Deployed Engineer in Edinburgh.
Nextmove only counts a company once it has been reading that board for at least 30 days, so the list is meant to mark a hiring decision rather than a newly tracked career site. Over the prior eight complete weeks the site saw 9–17 first-time FDE employers per week (median 13), so six in this shorter Tuesday–Friday window is a quieter clip—but still a fresh signal for candidates watching who is newly adopting the title.
