FDE Times tracker now counts 455 open FDE roles across 53 companies

FDE Times updated its live Hiring Tracker on 12 October 2026 to 455 open Forward Deployed Engineer roles at 53 companies. That is up from the 440 roles its 9 October baseline report counted, after more boards entered coverage and day-to-day openings moved.

Databricks still leads with 125 openings, followed by Palantir (109) and OpenAI (30). Scale AI (16), Cohere (13), Cursor and ElevenLabs (11 each) round out the next tier. About a quarter of roles are marked open to remote work, and 83 were posted in the last 30 days.

For FDEs and hiring managers, the tracker is useful because it reads company careers boards directly rather than aggregators, and it separates real new postings from jumps caused by newly tracked employers. North America still holds most openings, with New York, London and Washington, D.C. the busiest cities.
