Wonderful raises $550M Series C to expand its forward-deployed teams
Enterprise AI company Wonderful closed a $550 million Series C at a $5 billion valuation, led by Insight Partners with Salesforce participating, and says the money will expand its global deployment teams.
Wonderful, an Amsterdam-based company that sells an AI operating system to large enterprises, closed a $550 million Series C at a $5 billion valuation. Insight Partners led the round, with Salesforce joining and existing investors Index Ventures, IVP, Vine Ventures, 9Yards and Bessemer Venture Partners participating.
Forward deployed engineering is core to how Wonderful sells. The company says its FDE pods co-build with customer teams in every market, get the first use case into production, and then transfer knowledge so customers can build on the platform themselves. Since its Series B in March 2026, Wonderful says it has expanded to more than 35 markets and 650 employees, and the new funding will go toward product development and expanding its global deployment teams.
For FDEs, Wonderful is an example of a fast-growing startup where the role is central to the business model rather than an add-on, with deployment teams spread across many countries. That makes it worth watching for engineers outside the usual US hubs.
