Tencent Cloud releases an FDE delivery methodology with 25 industry scenario packs for its ADP agent platform
At Tencent's Global Digital Ecosystem Summit, Tencent Cloud paired its ADP agent platform upgrade with an FDE delivery methodology: five phases with defined deliverables and acceptance criteria, plus 25 scenario packs across retail, manufacturing, education, finance and healthcare, built to be about 70% reusable and 30% customised.
Tencent Cloud used its 2026 Global Digital Ecosystem Summit (Oct 29–30) to upgrade ADP, its agent development platform, and to launch an accompanying forward deployed engineering (FDE) delivery methodology. InfoQ reports the methodology splits an agent rollout into five phases (onboarding, build, validation, rollout and governance). Each phase comes with set tasks, deliverables and acceptance criteria, plus templates, evaluation cases and operating manuals.
On top of that, Tencent Cloud has packaged 25 standard scenario packs across retail, manufacturing, education, finance and healthcare. They follow a "70% reusable, 30% customised on demand" principle so that partners can turn one successful project into delivery they can repeat. A Tencent Cloud developer-community write-up of the summit says more than ten partners, including KPMG, launched FDE solution co-building with Tencent Cloud on site.
For FDEs, this is one of the first times a major cloud vendor has published a full playbook for the job: what gets delivered at each stage of an agent deployment and how it is signed off. It also shows Chinese cloud providers moving FDE work out to partner channels rather than keeping it all in-house, which should create more FDE-style roles at systems integrators and consultancies working on Tencent's platform.
